Stock
Market Trend : The Stock market end flat on Tuesday. The Sensex
closed at 16,020.64 with high of 16,138 and low of 15,979.77 while
the Nifty closed at 4863.30. The CNX Midcap was up from 0.5% while
BSE Smallcap index gained 0.2% in today's trading session.
The
Indian rupee fell more than 20 paise to 55.85 a dollar after rising
over 30 paise in early trade, but it turned flat again at the time of
closing of Indian equities. FMCG
majors ITC and HUL were up 1-1.9%. Shares of Tata Steel, Sun Pharma,
Coal India, Jindal Steel and Tata Power were down 1% each.
The
market breadth was positive with advances at 766 against declines of
645 on the NSE.
