Today Indian Stock market range bound today and closed with moderate gains. Smallcap and Midcap stocks made smart gains and large cap counters outperformed. The Sensex closed at 17478 up 74 points from the previous close and Nifty closed at 5318 up 22 points. The CNX Midcap index closed with 0.7% gain while BSE Smallcap index traded 1.7% up in todays trading. Throughout market breadth was positive with advances at 1070 against declines of 392 on the Nse.
