Rangebound trade was seen in market today with metal, realty and banking closing with gains. Other sectors like captital goods and oil & gas close positive. Only FMCG and IT were the two sectors that closed negative. Sensex closed at 16176 up 11 points from previous close and Nifty closed at 4861 up 11 points from previous close. The CNX mid cap index closed with 1.2% gain while BSE smallcap index was 1.3% up in todays trading session. The market moved positive with advances at 906 against declines of 403 on the NSE. The top gainers were Hindalco, Sesa Goa, Axis Bank and Sterlite while Biggest losers included Power Grid, TCS, Jindal Steel and Grasim.
